Mental Health Crisis Line
*Provides services in English and French 24/7/365 to residents of Ottawa, Prescott & Russel, Renfrew, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry, and Akwesasne.
The Mental Health Crisis Line provides support during times of distress. If it’s a crisis to you, it’s a crisis to us. This can include difficulty dealing with stress, overwhelming feelings, symptoms of depression, anxiety or psychosis, suicidal thoughts, or any concerns regarding your mental health or that of your loved ones. The Mental Health Crisis Line can also connect you to face-to-face support within 24 hours.

Distress Center of Ottawa and Region
*Provides services in English and French 24/7/365 to residents of the Ottawa-region.
Working within the continuum of mental health services, the Distress Centre of Ottawa and Region contributes to a healthier and safer community by providing suicide prevention, crisis intervention, psychological stabilization, emotional support, information, referral and education services, without judgement, to individuals in need.

First Nations and Inuit Hope for Wellness Help Line 24/7
*Provides chat and telephone services in English and French 24/7/365 to Indigenous peoples across Canada. Telephone services can also be provided in Cree, Ojibway (Anishinaabemowin), or Inuktitut (however these services are not offered 24/7).
Experienced and culturally competent counsellors are reachable by telephone and online ‘chat’ 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Talk Suicide

Counselling Connect
*Provides services in English and French. Service residents of the Ottawa Region.
Counselling Connect provides quick access to free phone or video counselling sessions. This service is for children, youth, adults and families in Ottawa and the surrounding area.

Walk-In Counselling Clinic
*Provides services in English, French, Arabic, Spanish, Somali, Cantonese and Mandarin at a variety of different locations. Serves residents of the Ottawa-region.
No referral is required. You will be assisted, with no appointment, on a first-come, first-serve basis during our Walk-In Counselling Clinic hours. Clinic hours are available at different locations throughout the week, including evenings and weekends.

Access MHA
*Serves residents of Ottawa, Pembroke, Cornwall, Hawkesbury, and surrounding areas.
AccessMHA makes it easier to help find mental health and/or substance use health support, services, and care. We eliminate the guesswork and work with you to refer you to the services you need, all while supporting you through the process. After reaching out to us, you will be paired with a trained mental health and addictions professional who will connect you to the services you need from a network of partner organizations. All services provided by AccessMHA and its partner organizations at provided at no cost.
