Dr. Simon Hatcher’s research program focuses on three key areas: suicide prevention, managing the effects of trauma, and the mental health burden of COVID-19. His research lab conducts clinical trials of psychological interventions, observational studies, and knowledge synthesis studies.

Solmi ClinIcal EvideNCE Synthesis (SCIENCES) Lab

The SCIENCES lab, headed by Dr. Marco Solmi, focuses on epidemiology studies and evidence synthesis projects in the areas of COVI-19, physical health among those with mental health disorders, the effectiveness and safety of biological and psychosocial treatments for mental health disorders, and eating disorders.
Fiedo Lab.
The Fiedo Lab, led by Dr. Jess Fiedorowicz, focuses mainly on bipolar disorder and mortality, specifically suicide and vascular disease. Other areas of interest include circadian rhythms and seasonality, obesity and metabolic syndrome, inflammation, and treatment adverse effects/disparities. The Fiedo lab focuses primarily on clinical trials.
