Join Our Team: MSc Student Position Available
The Hatching Ideas Lab is excited to announce that we have a position available for a Master’s-level student. The student will be supervised by Dr. Simon Hatcher via the University of Ottawa School of Epidemiology and Public Health. The student will be responsible for designing and conducting a validation study of our Workplace Assessment Scale (WAS), a 10-item Likert scale that assesses how individuals feel about their workplace organization. This scale was initially developed for a study focusing on first responders, but we would like to see it adapted (as needed) for other participant populations.
Responsibilities
Develop a protocol for a validation study, includes study design, data collection, and analysis plans.
Conduct primary data collection from participants from multiple sample pools.
Analyze study data using SPSS.
Draft the validation study manuscript.
Qualifications
Student must be a current or incoming MSc student at the University of Ottawa School of Epidemiology and Public Health.
Student must have experience conducting quantitative data analysis.
Previous in a clinical environment is considered an asset.
